Accessibility statement

A community for neurodivergent people should be usable by everyone. Here's where we are, and how to tell us when we fall short.

Last updated: October 2026

Our aim

We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever technology they use and however they use it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we’ve done

  • Text and interactive elements meet AA colour-contrast requirements.
  • The site works with keyboard-only navigation, with visible focus indicators.
  • Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels for screen readers.
  • All meaningful images have text alternatives.
  • The layout adapts to small screens and up to 200% zoom without loss of content.
  • We write in plain English and keep pages short: many of our members have ADHD, and walls of text help nobody.

Known limitations

  • The community forum is a third-party platform and may not meet every WCAG criterion; we raise issues with the provider as we find them.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site is hard for you to use, or you need information in a different format, email hello@adhdalliance.co.uk. We’ll do our best to fix it or find another way to get you what you need.

Enforcement
